Dr. Prasham Shah is one of Mumbai's most experienced and decorated orthopaedic surgeons, with over 42 years of active clinical practice. A graduate of the prestigious Grant Medical College and JJ Hospital, Mumbai, he went on to specialise in Arthroscopic Surgery in the USA and Germany — becoming one of the very first surgeons in Mumbai to perform arthroscopy at a time when the technique was virtually unknown in India.

That spirit of being first has defined Dr. Shah's career. In 1989, he became the first Indian orthopaedic surgeon to learn and perform the Russian Ilizarov technique in India — a landmark moment in the country's surgical history. He went on to conduct numerous workshops across India and abroad to bring this technique to the wider orthopaedic community, with over 2,500 orthopaedic surgeons from across India having learnt Ilizarov from him directly.

Today, Dr. Shah's clinical focus has evolved toward Ozone Therapy — a pioneering, minimally invasive approach he has championed for treating slipped discs, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, diabetic and alcoholic neuritis, and infected wounds. Once again, he stands at the frontier, having introduced ozone therapy to orthopaedics in India and continuing to expand its clinical application.
